The new ACTpro eLock was on show at the Specifiers and Architects Expo in the RDS Dublin on the 29th and 30th of September. The show was attended by over 400 architects and consultants interested in technological advancements in each industry that will influence their upcoming projects.
Graham Browne (Irish Sales Executive) presented the ACTpro eLock to the six person judging panel hand-picked by the Royal Institute of Architects (RIAI) with the brief to find an innovative product that married cutting edge technology with expert design.
The panel took notes as Graham explained that each ACTpro eLock Hub can communicate with up to 32 eLocks, each eLock has been designed with the latest RF technology which gives it substantially greater range than the nearest competitor and that it seamlessly integrates with existing ACTpro systems always speaking back to the new ACTenterprise software in real time.
Access Control Technology was awarded the Architects Choice Award 2013 for the ACTpro eLock. The panel mentioned the following reasons for the eLock winning the award:
- Retrofitted onto the existing door lock by simply removing the original handles
- Numerous applications such as schools, student accommodation and offices
- Sleek design that adds to the interior appearance of a building
